SERIES: Progress-2 Weeks After My "Big Chop"

Two weeks ago, I posted about my forced "Big Chop". I had an incident that was beyond patching on my swatch hand so I went ahead and cut back all my nails. As promised I would post a growth update every two weeks. And since tomorrow marks 2 weeks I'm showing you my progress.

If you follow my blog or follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you will remember the break I experienced. My entire free-edge had to come off. That was the evening of 3/13/13. As I explained, I would continue to follow my moisture regimen. I  continue to use my Nail Life Nail Revitalizer as treatment. The only additional product I added was Hand Perfection which is an anti-aging hand care system I'm reviewing.  I have continued my at least twice daily moisture process.

My nails are making good progress.  Baring any other "issues" it won't be long before they are back to the length I prefer.  The main reason I am posting this blog is to show the importance of caring for your nails and cuticles. We spend so much time and money on our nail polishes, it only makes sense to care for their "foundation and frame".

What is your nail care regimen? What are your go-to products for nail care?

 Grace, Peace, & Blessings.

  1. You have amazing nail growing genes girl! Look at that growth, wow! I actually prefer my nails short, so if they grew that fast it might annoy me. I don't really have any go-to moisture regimes, I have a stash of cuticle creams and just try to use something once a day, it's the consistency that my cuticles love. :)

  2. LOL! Yes, I get that from both parents. In my case, I'm glad. I have stubby hands so my longer nails help to elongate the look of my fingers.Moisture is key to healthy nails and cuticles.I try to moisturize at least twice a day. Take care.

  3. I'm jealous of how quickly it's grown in just two weeks! I use cuticle oil at least once a day. It's right here by my laptop so I never forget. And then, particularly in the colder months, Lush's cuticle butter has been my saviour.

  6. I'm sure they will as long as you take care of them and keep your nails and cuticles moisturized. :)
