This evening when I went into my local Walgreens I stumbled across the Limited Edition Milani Roses Blushes display. There are 4 shades in the collection - 3 more matte-satin and one shimmer. They are pressed to give a rose bud appearance. I've always loved these textured/patterned compacts that so many cosmetic companies release. They are almost too pretty to use. I also appreciate the packaging. With other Milani blushes, many complained/commented on the bulky packaging and useless brush. with this collection the compact is sleek and the omit the brush that no one used anyway. Good Move Milani!
I spent a good few minutes trying to decide which shades I wanted. I walked away with 3 of the four.
The first is Romantic Rose which is a pale dusty rose color with no shimmer. I wouldn't call it chalky but maybe a little powdery. Although the feel is soft and velvety.
Next is Flora Passion, which is a warmer, more coraly-pink rose. Also a matte finish.
The next is Warm Petals. Probably the first of the collection to catch my eye. It's a warm bronze with a golden shimmer. Now that I've swatched it, I thinking it might end up as a highligher...like a need another highligher.
Last in this collection is Bella Rosa, the only shade I did not purchase. I just didn't think it would compliment my skin tone. It is a dusty bubblegum pink matte.
Yes, these are pretty blushes, but my 1st impression is still uncertain They may be too light for my NW43 skin tone. I will be using them for several days before giving my final opinion but I will say to Milani, roses come in many other gorgeous shades that would make wonderful blushes-a deeper red, berry, purple or magenta, would be a good start.
So if you are intrigued by the Milani Roses Powder Blush collection, make a fast run, because remember, this is a Limited Edition collection. They are available at Select Walgreens, CVS, Meijer, & Fried Meyer stores. They retail for $6.49 each and contains 0.60 oz/17 g.
Have you spotted these blushes yet? Which shade is calling to you the most?
Grace, Peace, & Blessings.
