Top of the Morning To You: FingerPaints Guggen I'm Lime

top of the morning photo: Top Morning IrishTop.jpg
I have one more St. Patrick's Day manicure for you. I hate that it's no longer available but it is so pretty, I just had to share it with you.  One of my favorite brands that really doesn't get a lot of attention is Sally Beauty's FingerPaints.  Their color selection, price, formula and application all make for a really great nail polish.

Today I am sharing with you FingerPaints Guggen I'm Lime with an accent of Sinful Colors Call You Later.

FingerPaints Guggen I'm Lime is a gorgeous bright lime green shimmer with a golden undertone.  I wanted to add a little accent, so I chose Sinful Colors Call You Later, a green glitter with several shades of green glitter. I just used my long nail art brush to add a little flare.

Well that's all for the St. Patrick's Day manicures, but I'm sure that's not the end of the green polishes. 2013 is the Panetone Year of Emerald. So you will see more greens throughout the year. But until then,

Grace, Peace, & Blessings.

Top of the Morning To You: Sinful Colors Irish Green

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone. What's going on in your area to celebration?  My town has a run and will be shooting off green fireworks tonight.

Today's green manicure consists of probably one of the more sought after drug store green polishes.  Every year around St. Patrick's Day, I see several ladies seeking the Sinful Colors Irish Green.  I decided to pair it with a golden yellow to symbolize a pot of gold. With Sinful Colors Irish Green, I have Sinful Colors Let's Meet, and topped with China Glaze Sour Apple.

Sinful Colors Irish Green is a emerald green jelly. To achieve full opacity, you will definitely need to apply at least 4 coats or start with a white base coat.  Sinful Colors Let's Meet is a gorgeous warm yellow shimmer, ideal for a pot of gold.  Lastly, is China Glaze Sour Apple. It is a pretty green glitter with holographic glitter.  It was released as part of the 50 Specialty Collection China Glazed released a few years ago.

As I mentioned, you certainly need an undercoat if you don't want any visible nail lines.

Whatever your plans to celebrate, please be safe and responsible.  Happy St. Patrick's Day.

Grace, Peace, & Blessings.

Top of the Morning To You: Sinful Colors Show Me The Way

Today's St. Patrick's Day Manicure reminds me of a favorite childhood  character.  When I first saw today's polish, I thought of my old friend, Kermit The Frog of Sesame Street fame. As a child, I spent many hours on Sesame Street. Kermit was always telling us that "It's Not Easy Being Green."

Today I'm sharing with you Sinful Colors Show Me The Way. This is a gorgeous jewel-toned green shimmer with golden undertones.  It should still be available wherever Sinful Colors polishes are sold.

As you can see from the pictures, this polish needs several coats for full opacity.  In these pictures, I am wearing 3 coats and there is still visible nail lines. Next time I may try it with a creme undercoat.

Who was your favorite childhood character?

Grace, Peace, & Blessings.

Top of the Morning To You: China Glaze Running in Circles

top of the morning photo: Top Morning IrishTop.jpgToday's entry for my St. Patrick's Day Manicures is from a fairly recent China Glaze Collection.  Today I'm sharing China Glaze Running in Circles from the 2013 Cirque du Soleil Collection and Icing Frog Prince as an accent.

When I first saw promotional pictures of the Cirque du Soleil Collection none of the shades really called to me, but when I saw Running in Circles in person, there was no doubt...I had to have it.  When I saw it, it reminded me of Zoya's Ivanka. They are similar, but Running in Circles is brighter.  Icing Frog Prince is a bright green glitter with both green and holographic glitter.

I love glass flakie finished nail polishes. They have a depth to them that most glitters and other textured polishes have.  I am still always amazed that I love green nail polishes, because green has never been a favorite color. But I have a drawer that is 3/4 full of green polishes that proves that I do love green  polish.

Have you decided on your St. Patrick's Day manicure yet? What are your plans for celebrating St. Patrick's Day?

Grace, Peace, & Blessings.

Top of the Morning To You: China Glaze Laser Lime

top of the morning photo: Top Morning IrishTop.jpg
With St. Patrick's Day less than a week away, what a better time to pull out some of my favorite tried & untried greens.  I decided to start with one from the first full collection I purchased. Today, I pulling out Laser Lime from the 2011 China Glaze Tronica Collection.  This collection reminds me of the current 2013 China Glaze Holographic collection-both are more scattered holos as opposed to linear.  But scattered or linear, holographic polishes are hard to ignore.

Well, that is China Glaze Tronica Laser Lime. I love China Glazes Holographic collections. I know that they have one out now, but I really wish they would re-release the OMG collection. That is one I really missed out on.  Well, I will have another green manicure for you tomorrow, until tomorrow...

Grace, Peace, & Blessings.

Happy St. Patrick's Day...

Some of my favorite Irish Blessings:

May good luck be your friend
In whatever you do
And may trouble be always
A stranger to you.
~~~~
A BLESSING FOR YOU AND YOURS
May the grace of God’s protection
And His great love abide
Within your home-within the hearts
Of all who dwell inside.
~~~~
“May God grant you always...A sunbeam to warm you, a moonbeam to charm you, a sheltering Angel so nothing can harm you. Laughter to cheer you. Faithful friends near you. And whenever you pray, Heaven to hear you.”
~~~~
“May God give you...For every storm a rainbow, for every tear a smile, for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer.”
~~~~
“May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.”
~~~~
Remember, treat your nails and jewels not tools.
Grace , Peace, and Blessings.
